Csipkeveréshez és a csipke feldolgozásához használt eszközök: gyűszű

A gyűszű egy kis védőkupak az ujjak számára varrás közben. Arra használják, hogy segítségével könnyebben átszúrhassák a tűket a vastag anyagokon, bőrökön. A legrégebbi gyűszűt Pompeiben találták. az első évszázadra tehető a készítése. Bronzból készült. Az idők során készítették vasból, fából, bőrből, üvegből, porcelánból, aranyból, ezüstből, s legújabban műanyagból.

They are all facing the same direction with a swag of leaves between them. The number of cherubs depends on the size of the thimble. The larger sizes also have a flower on the swag.
